FLIP Museum Opens New Japanese-Themed Exhibits & More in Downtown Hillsboro

Families visiting Downtown Hillsboro's Cultural Arts District can explore Japanese culture, food, and farming traditions through new interactive experiences at The FLIP Museum.

The museum recently added a Revolving Sushi Restaurant and Green Screen Farming exhibit, giving children opportunities to learn through hands-on play. Educational components for the exhibits were developed with support from the Japanese American Museum of Oregon and highlight the history of Japanese farming and its connection to food traditions.

The new exhibits are part of a larger upgrade underway at FLIP Museum, made possible in part through a grant from the Niemeyer Foundation through the Oregon Community Foundation. Additional changes are planned as the museum continues expanding its interactive experiences for children and families.

The FLIP Museum is located at 136 SE 3rd Avenue in Downtown Hillsboro, in the city's Cultural Arts District. The museum offers hands-on experiences focused on arts, STEM, culture, and creative play. Check the FLIP website for information about hours and admission.

The exhibit adds another opportunity for families to learn about Asian culture and heritage while exploring the many arts, cultural, and educational experiences available throughout Downtown Hillsboro's Cultural Arts District.
