LBR 2016-1 sets forth certain requirements for applications for compensation. The rule requires that information about the applicant and the application, case status, project billing, and actual, necessary expenses be included as set forth in the Guidelines for Reviewing Applications for Compensation and Reimbursement of Expenses Filed Under 11 U.S.C. § 330 (Appendix A to 28 C.F.R. § 58) issued by the United States Trustee Program. However, in non-chapter 11 cases, the rule requires the project billing format to be used only if the professional's compensation is anticipated to exceed $20,000. As proposed, the amended rule would increase the $20,000 threshold to $50,000. Any comments regarding this proposal should be sent by email to michael_dowling@hib.uscourts.gov by May 16, 2025.
