Last night, history was made. The Oklahoma City Thunder won their first ever NBA Championship.

Since 2008, when the Thunder relocated from Seattle to Oklahoma City, we have watched this team. Together, as Oklahomans, we have celebrated their wins, suffered through tough losses, and stuck together as a fanbase. It has truly been an extraordinary journey for Oklahoma City, witnessing this team go from tragedy to triumph in just a generation.

Yet, through it all, we always knew that our time to be champions would come - and, last night, that time came.

This 2024-25 Thunder team is just amazing, full of magnificent talent and great coaches. This team is so deserving of this. The Pacers were a gritty and gallant opponent. Yet, the Thunder prevailed, marking an amazing end to a remarkable season.

So, in conclusion, congratulations to the players, coaches, staff, and all Oklahomans. Today, we are champions - something to be savored, as it doesn't happen every day.
