Dunwoody Paving Plan includes 32 streets in 2026

Dunwoody, GA - March 19, 2026 - The City of Dunwoody's 2026 Street Paving Plan is scheduled to begin next week for 32 streets that cover 13.8 lane miles. The city has budgeted $2.75 million of Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) funds for the work. The Georgia Department of Transportation will also provide $564,000 through the Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG).

By the end of 2029, Dunwoody plans to complete resurfacing all City streets, fulfilling a commitment made by city founders to achieve a 20-year paving cycle. To date, 271 lane miles have been paved, which equals 89 percent of the 20-year goal.

"Regular resurfacing is essential to keeping our road network in good condition, "said Dunwoody Public Works Director Michael Smith. "Over 90 percent of the city's streets are in fair or better condition and pavement repair costs have been cut in half as a result of the city's steady investment in resurfacing."

Dunwoody streets scheduled for resurfacing in 2026 include the following: Atcheson Lane, Cedarhurst Drive, Chamblee Dunwoody Road (north of Roberts Drive), Coach Lane, Dunwoody Junction, Dunwoody Station Drive, Framons Court, Glaze Drive Hidden Branches Court, Jett Ferry Road, Layfield Court, Layfield Drive, Manget Court, Manoah Court, Manor Oaks Court, Mile Post Drive, Mount Vernon Way (north of Mount Vernon Road), Promontory Court, Pullman Court, Redbark Place, Redbark Way, Redfield Road (east of Chamblee Dunwoody Rd.), Redstone Lane, Redstone Terrace, Ridgeview Road (north end), Santa Fe Station, Topeka Court, Trailridge Drive, Whitehall Pointe, Whitehall Walk, Winter Rose Court, and Winterhaven Court.
