NCTA Add New Staffers to Legal and Government Relations Teams

Washington, D.C. - NCTA - The Internet & Television Association today announced the recent additions of Mary Claire York as Vice President and Associate General Counsel of Legal and Regulatory Affairs, and Ali Fulling Watson as Vice President of Government Relations.

Mary Claire York

With over 20 years of legal and policy experience across the public and private sectors, York most recently served as an attorney advisor in NTIA's Office of Chief Counsel where she provided legal review and strategic advice to IIJA grant programs and to the Office of Spectrum Management. Prior to NTIA, she held multiple roles at the FCC, including in the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau, as acting legal advisor to then-Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel, and as FCC detailee to the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation.

York began her legal career as a litigation associate at Willkie Farr & Gallagher, and earlier was a Legislative Assistant to a U.S. Senator with responsibility for telecommunications and education issues. York earned a B.A. from Wake Forest University and a J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.

Ali Fulling Watson

Watson was most recently the Member Services and Coalitions Director at the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Education and Workforce. Prior to that, she served as Senior Advisor to Rep. Tim Walberg, where she led the congressman's Energy and Commerce Committee portfolio. Spending nearly a decade in both the public and private sector, Watson previously held positions at TwinLogic Strategies, the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce, and for Rep. Fred Upton.

Watson is originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan and has a B.A. from Michigan State University.
