Iowa GOP Candidate Zach Lahn "Honored" to Receive Endorsement from White Supremacist Steve King

Republican candidate for governor in Iowa, Zach Lahn, said he was "honored" to accept an endorsement from white supremacist and former Congressman Steve King last night.

King has a long and shameful record of peddling conspiracy theories and spewing hateful views, including promoting the "Great Replacement" theory, engaging with white nationalists and neo-Nazis, questioning why it's offensive to be a white nationalist, and making egregiously racist claims.

Lahn has not only raised no objections to any of this - but is bragging about King's endorsement, as he continues to run on an extreme agenda that includes opposing Medicaid expansion, gutting public education, and backing tariffs that are raising costs for Iowa farmers.

"Zach Lahn's decision to brag about campaigning with the support of white supremacist Steve King shows he's way too extreme to be governor. As this GOP primary for governor continues to run off the rails, it's now on every other GOP candidate for governor to speak out against Lahn for embracing Steve King," said DGA Communications Director Sam Newton.
