Marcell Announces Committee Assignments for 2025-26 Legislative Session

Jan. 08, 2025

HARRISBURG - Rep. Kristin Marcell (R-Bucks) has officially begun her service for the 2025-26 Legislative Session following her swearing-in on Jan. 7. Marcell is pleased to announce her committee assignments, which include Appropriations, Commerce, Professional Licensure, and Aging and Older Adult Services.

"These assignments provide an excellent opportunity to work on important issues that directly impact the residents of Bucks County," said Marcell. "From addressing the needs of older adults to shaping the state's financial priorities, supporting our local businesses and preparing our workforce, these committees will allow me to advocate for meaningful policies and effective solutions."

The Appropriations Committee is one of the most influential in the General Assembly, responsible for overseeing the state budget and making recommendations on fiscal matters. Marcell's role will help ensure taxpayer dollars are used responsibly and efficiently.

Through the Commerce Committee, Marcell will have the opportunity to address issues impacting businesses and economic development, while her work on the Professional Licensure Committee will focus on improving and modernizing licensing processes across various professions in Pennsylvania.

The Aging and Older Adult Services Committee focuses on issues affecting seniors, including access to services, long-term care and quality-of-life improvements.

In addition to her committee assignments, Marcell will serve as vice chair of the House Republican Policy Committee, where she will play a key role in shaping legislative strategies and analyzing policies that impact residents across the Commonwealth.
