Appointment, Member 04 . September . 2026AMICE member P&V Group has announced the appointment of Sylvie Focquet as Chief Risk Officer (CRO). She joins the Executive Committee of the Belgian cooperative insurer, bringing extensive expertise in risk management, regulation and supervision.
Ms. Focquet succeeds Jeroen Spinoy, who became CEO of P&V Group on 1 April 2026. Laurent Serez, a member of the Executive Committee, has held the CRO position ad interim since Spinoy's appointment.
Sylvie Focquet joins P&V Group from the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA), where she served as Head of Unit Internal Models, with responsibility for developing and harmonising internal models and supervisory practices across Europe. Her previous experience includes senior roles at the European Commission and the Single Resolution Board, as well as work on Solvency II and crisis-management projects at AXA.
Commenting on her appointment, Ms. Focquet said she was proud to contribute to P&V Group's cooperative mission, "which puts performance at the service of a broader societal impact". She added that she looked forward to working with colleagues to further strengthen risk management and contribute to the Group's sustainable development.
P&V Group CEO Jeroen Spinoy said Focquet's expertise in risk management, regulation and supervision, combined with her international experience, would help strengthen the Group's risk management and support its strategic ambitions.
The appointment remains subject to approval by the National Bank of Belgium.
