TRAFFIC ALERT New Castle County I 95/Rt 896 Interchange Upcoming Closures
The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces to motorists that there will be overnight lane and ramp closures on Rt 896 and I-95 for bridge work. There will also be overnight lane closures on Rt 72 for bridge work.
I-95 AND RAMP IMPACTS
· Monday, September 23rd through Thursday, September 26th: OVERNIGHT RAMP CLOSURE, Southbound I-95 off- ramp onto Northbound Route 896 towards Newark (10PM - 6AM). Detour shown below.
· Thursday, September 26th: Overnight Multi-lane Closure, Southbound I-95 (9PM - 6AM). EZPass Toll lanes closed.
Route 896 IMPACTS
· Tuesday, September 24th through Thursday, September 26th: Overnight Stoppages, Northbound Route 896 between I-95 and Welsh Tract Road (10PM - 6AM).
· Wednesday, September 25th and Thursday, September 26th: Overnight Lane Closure, Southbound Route 896 between Welsh Tract Road and I-95:
o Wednesday, September 25th (10PM - 6AM)
o Thursday, September 26th (11PM - 6AM)

· Monday, September 23rd through Wednesday, September 25th: Overnight Lane Closure, Northbound and Southbound Route 72 between Scottfield Drive and Peoples Drive (7PM - 6AM).
