City of Dallas Reminds Residents of Upcoming September 4 Furlough Closure

DALLAS - Many Dallas city offices and facilities will be closed on Friday, September 4, 2026, for the second of three scheduled citywide mandatory furlough days. All emergency services and critical services such as Dallas Water Utilities, Sanitation, and Love Field/Executive Airport will remain operational.

Please note that the city's online portals remain fully operational 24/7 for water bill payments, online permit submissions, and non-emergency 311 service requests. For a list of other services and facilities that will remain open or be closed, please visit Dallascitynews.net/furlough
