MountainOne Financial, MHC Appoints Kelly Azevedo as Senior Vice President, Retail Banking Officer

NORTH ADAMS, Mass and TAUNTON, Mass - [September 30, 2026] - MountainOne Financial, MHC is pleased to announce the appointing of Kelly Azevedo as Senior Vice President, Retail Banking Officer. In this enterprise role, she will lead retail banking strategy across MountainOne Bank and Mechanics Cooperative Bank.

Azevedo will guide the branch networks, business development, call center, retail sales, customer experience, alternative delivery channels, and the Mechanics Investment Group. Her focus will be set on strengthening and driving deposit growth, deepening customer relationships, expanding revenue opportunities, and creating a consistent experience for our customers across every channel.

Azevedo brings more than a decade of banking leadership experience to the role. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President, Manager of Branch Sales at First Citizens Bank, where she led partner performance and collaboration across business banking, treasury services, merchant services, investments, credit cards, and lending in the Greater Boston market. She also helped shape strategies related to sales, culture, leadership development, operational performance, and market growth.

Before joining First Citizens Bank, Azevedo spent fourteen years at Webster Bank, most recently as Senior Managing Director and Region Manager for the MetroEast and SouthCoast District. In that role, she oversaw 13 locations across Massachusetts and Rhode Island, leading growth, client experience, operations, talent development, and risk management. She also guided the region through a merger integration, core conversion, organizational transition, and other enterprise initiatives.

As a member of the executive leadership team, Azevedo will partner closely with senior leaders to support key initiatives and continued growth of both banks. She will also oversee the Mechanics Cooperative Bank investment program and serve as Chair of the Mechanics Investment Group Committee.

Azevedo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of New Hampshire and has earned Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and Green Belt certifications. Her community involvement includes leadership roles with Taunton Area School to Career and serves on the Board of Directors of Associates for Human Services.
