DISTRICT ATTORNEY SHERRY BOSTON HOSTS 10TH ANNUAL LOVE RUN 5K

Saturday, February 22, 2025

Event Raises Record Amount for the Women's Resource Center to End Domestic Violence

Decatur, Ga.- DeKalb County District Attorney Sherry Boston thanks the community for joining her for the record-breaking 10th Annual Love Run 5K on Saturday, February 22, 2025, on the Decatur Square.

DA Boston created the event in 2016 while serving as DeKalb County Solicitor-General to commemorate Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month and raise money for the Women's Resource Center to End Domestic Violence (WRC).

"February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month and part of the mission of this race is to help spark conversations with young people about what healthy, respectful romantic partnerships should look like," said DA Boston. "The more they know as they begin their first dating relationships, the better off they will be as they mature into adults."

While the total is still being finalized, DA Boston is proud to announce the 2025 Love Run set a fundraising record generating more than $26,500 for WRC.

The Love Run also had a record number of participants with more than 500 registered runners and walkers.
