We Want to Hear From You! Embarcadero One-Way Conversion Pilot Project

Phase 1 Survey is Now Open for Input!

Phase 1 of the Embarcadero Way One-Way Conversion Pilot Project went into effect on January 13, 2026. During that time, Embarcadero Way has temporarily been a one-way street between Marina Court Drive (Western intersection) and Mission Avenue, with travel only allowed in the northeast direction (uphill Mission Avenue).

Now that the Phase 1 pilot project has been in place for almost two months, the City and the County are gathering feedback on resident's experiences.

If you'd like to provide your feedback on this phase, please complete the survey found here:

Phase 1 Embarcadero One-Way Conversion Pilot Project Survey

What's Next?

Starting April and going until June, Embarcadero Way will temporarily be a one-way street in the opposite direction it is now. Travel will be permitted only in the southwest direction (downhill to Marina Ct Dr) from Mission Avenue to Marina Court Drive. See below for the map of the one-way change.

The aim of the Embarcadero One-Way Conversion Pilot is to reduce vehicle-to-vehicle conflicts by circulating vehicles in one direction and towards nearby streets. This pilot is the result of several years of resident requests to improve safety on the narrow portion of Embarcadero Way.
