Public Invited to June 30 Event Showcasing New Pre-Approved Housing Plans
As part of Housing Month, the City of Tulsa is taking another step to address Tulsa's housing shortage with the official launch of the T-Town Home Catalog, a new collection of pre-approved housing plans designed to make it faster, easier, and more affordable to build new homes in Tulsa.
The City will host a public launch event for the T-Town Home Catalog on Tuesday, June 30, from 10 a.m. to Noon at the 36th Street North Event Center. Members of the public, local builders, developers, housing advocates, and others interested in learning more about the program are encouraged to attend. Media are also invited to attend.
"The housing challenges facing Tulsa require us to think differently about how we bring more homes online," Mayor Monroe Nichols said. "The T-Town Home Catalog is one more tool that will help property owners, builders, and developers add housing more quickly while ensuring high-quality designs that fit Tulsa neighborhoods."
The T-Town Home Catalog is a recommendation from the 3H Task Force's Path to Home Recommendations and has been under development since 2024. Following the selection of Flintlock LTD, Co. to lead the effort, City staff and community stakeholders have worked to create permit-ready housing plans that have already been reviewed for compliance with local building codes, helping reduce uncertainty and shortening timelines for those looking to build.
"The T-Town Home Catalog is an innovative tool that will make it easier to build quality homes in every part of our city," Council Chair Karen Gilbert said. "It's an important step toward expanding housing options and helping more Tulsans achieve homeownership, while creating an efficient and predictable process for our developers. I look forward to seeing these new designs come to life across our city."
The catalog includes a variety of housing types and is intended to support infill development across Tulsa.
While site-specific reviews will still be required, much of the building review process has already been completed, allowing projects to move forward more efficiently.
The June 30 launch event will include an overview of the program, examples of the available plans, and information on how builders, developers, and property owners can begin utilizing the catalog.
