Statement by Senator Warren on President Trump's Nomination of Stephen Miran to be Fed Governor
Washington, DC - United States Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Ranking Member of the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee, released the following statement on President Trump's nomination of CEA Chair Stephen Miran to serve on the Federal Reserve Board:
"Stephen Miran is a Trump loyalist and one of the chief architects of President Trump's chaotic tariff policy that has hurt Americans' wallets and our economy. I will have tough questions for him during his confirmation hearing about whether he'd serve the American people as an independent voice at the Fed or merely serve Donald Trump."
