European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) 2026 brings 90 European institutions to Indonesia

Jakarta, 31 October 2026 - A total of 90 European higher education institutions, from 14 European Union member states, will come together in Indonesia for the 18th European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) 2026, offering Indonesian students an opportunity to explore study programmes, scholarships and academic opportunities across Europe. The fair will take place in Yogyakarta on 4 November at Gelanggang Inovasi dan Kreativitas, Universitas Gadjah Mada, followed by Jakarta on 7-8 November at Catur Dharma Hall, Menara Astra.

Organised by the Delegation of the European Union to Indonesia, EHEF 2026 will provide students, parents and academic stakeholders with direct access to information on study programmes, scholarships, admission procedures, student life and international mobility opportunities.

"Through EHEF, students and parents will have the opportunity to connect directly with European universities, education counsellors and diplomatic representatives. They will be able explore a broad range of high-quality higher education programmes in Europe, including information on universities, courses, scholarships, admissions, student life, and international mobility," said Mr Marco Bonetti, Chargé d'affaires a.i. of the Delegation of the European Union to Indonesia.

"Studying in Europe offers much more than an academic qualification. It enables young people to broaden their perspectives, experience different cultures and develop valuable skills for their future. These experiences also create lasting connections between our societies and contribute to strengthening the partnership between Indonesia and the European Union," Mr Bonetti added.

EHEF highlights the important role of higher education in the EU's Global Gateway strategy, which aims to connect people and countries through high-quality infrastructure. EHEF will equip young people with the knowledge, skills and innovative capacity needed to shape a greener and more digital future.

The exhibition is open to the public and free of charge. Prospective visitors are encouraged to register in advance at https://virtual.ehef.id/
