McKinney Green Gardens is an educational space meant to support pollinators and wildlife. Volunteers can earn hours pulling weeds, spreading mulch, and completing tasks around the garden. This recurring workday will offer many learning opportunities about native and drought-tolerant gardening, water conservation, and watershed protection.

  • When: Every Last Saturday of the Month
  • Summer Schedule: 8 - 10 a.m. In anticipation of the summer heat, we've moved this workday to an earlier time for June, July, and August.
  • Location: McKinney Green Gardens, 3339 Alma Rd, McKinney, TX 75070
  • What to Bring: Bring water to stay hydrated and tools to work in the garden. Tools include wheelbarrows, clippers, hand shovels, shovels, rakes, and gloves. Sunscreen and bug spray are recommended.
