Washington, D.C. - Congressman Juan Ciscomani marked National Police Week 2026 by welcoming police officers from across Arizona to our nation's Capitol.
Congressman Ciscomani met with law enforcement from the district and state, provided Capitol tours, and aligns with the House Appropriations Committee's approval of the Fiscal Year 2027 Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies (CJS) funding bill. The bill includes $9.2 million in federal Community Project Funding preliminarily secured to bolster public safety and law enforcement efforts specifically in in Oro Valley, Sahuarita, and Cochise County.
Congressman Ciscomani is Arizona's only member of the House or Senate Appropriations Committee, granting him a direct role in securing funding that advances crucial law enforcement priorities statewide. In addition, he supported bipartisan House Concurrent Resolution 96, which acknowledges the dedication and sacrifices of America's law enforcement.
"As Arizona's only Appropriations Committee member, I am committed to delivering results for Southern Arizona families through securing federal funding bring it back home to the Sixth District," said Rep. Ciscomani. "Last week, during National Police Week, I was proud to secure funds for our local law enforcement entities.
