May 7, 2026 - Get ready for an unforgettable musical experience! The Bettendorf Public Library invites the community to enjoy a selection of music that highlights women jazz composers and arrangers, performed by women instrumentalists, including one from the Quad Cities.
On Saturday, May 23, from 2-3 p.m., the Iowa Women's Jazz Orchestra (IWJO) will take the stage to spotlight the contributions of women to jazz history. Formed in 2017, the IWJO is a jazz big band made up of women musicians from across the state who are dedicated to showcasing and inspiring women and girls to participate in jazz.
This concert features the IWJO Sextet, a six-person jazz combo of teachers and professional musicians, including IWJO founder Toni LeFebvre, a 2010 graduate of Pleasant Valley High School.
This free event is funded by the Friends of the Bettendorf Public Library. To learn more, visit the library's event webpage.Copy and paste this code into your website.
