Six of Wisconsin's federal lawmakers have been recognized with the 'Friend of Wisconsin Farm Bureau' Award.
Presented every two years, the Friend of Wisconsin Farm Bureau Award recognizes legislators who demonstrate the strongest support for Wisconsin agriculture through their voting records and their support for legislation identified by Wisconsin Farm Bureau as important to farmers and rural communities.
The voting records of U.S. Representatives Derrick Van Orden, Scott Fitzgerald, Glen Grothman, Bryan Steil, Tom Tiffany and Tony Wied met the requirements for the award.
"This year's recipients have demonstrated a strong commitment to Wisconsin agriculture, supporting Farm Bureau priorities on legislation including the farm bill, year-round E-15, the One Big Beautiful Bill, and the Pet and Livestock Protection Act," said Wisconsin Farm Bureau President Brad Olson. "Their support for legislation important to agriculture paired with their voting records on key issues reflects their understanding of the challenges Wisconsin farmers are facing."
"Their continued support provides Wisconsin agriculture with important allies in Congress as we work to advance policies that strengthen family farms, rural communities and the state's agricultural economy," added Olson.
