Healthcare innovation leader brings experience building and scaling new models across medtech, digital health and workforce innovation to Remission Medical's Advisory Consultant Program
RICHMOND, Va., October 1, 2026 - Remission Medical today announced that Kelleny Berchuck, PhD, has joined its Advisory Consultant Program as a Strategic Advisor, bringing experience spanning healthcare strategy, medtech, digital health, workforce innovation and new business creation.
Dr. Berchuck joins a growing group of experienced healthcare leaders and subject-matter experts providing strategic perspective and counsel as Remission Medical expands its partnerships with health systems and specialty practices nationwide.
"Healthcare has no shortage of good ideas. The harder challenge is turning those ideas into models that actually work at scale," said Blake Wehman, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Remission Medical. "Kelleny has spent her career doing exactly that, bringing together technology, talent and new approaches to care delivery to solve real healthcare constraints. That builder's perspective is especially relevant to the work we're doing at Remission as we look for new ways to expand specialty care capacity."
Access to rheumatology care remains one of the most persistent challenges in modern healthcare. Patients often wait months for evaluation, delaying diagnosis and treatment for autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. Remission Medical works with health systems and specialty practices to expand rheumatology capacity while preserving continuity of care and operating within existing health system infrastructure, including EHRs, scheduling workflows, billing structures and care teams.
Remission Medical established its Advisory Consultant Program to bring additional healthcare, clinical, operational, workforce and strategic perspectives to that work as the company continues to grow.
Dr. Berchuck is a healthcare innovation and strategy leader whose career has centered on helping healthcare organizations make better use of talent, technology and existing resources while identifying new approaches that can be built and scaled.
She currently serves as Managing Director, Global Enterprise Strategy at Varian, where she helps shape the company's direction and identify opportunities to expand the impact of cancer care. Previously, Dr. Berchuck led Innovation Partnerships and New Ventures at Siemens Healthineers, working across emerging opportunities in healthcare technology and new business creation.
Dr. Berchuck also built Siemens Healthineers' Workforce Solutions business from the ground up. Under her leadership, FlexForce grew into a global network of more than 11,000 technologists, creating a new model for addressing critical workforce constraints facing healthcare organizations.
A biomedical engineer by training, Dr. Berchuck holds a PhD from Drexel University and is an alumna of the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Her work spans medtech, digital health, workforce and new business creation, with a particular focus on connecting shifts in technology, talent and healthcare delivery with opportunities to build what comes next.
[DR. BERCHUCK QUOTE FOR APPROVAL] "Some of healthcare's most difficult challenges aren't caused by a lack of expertise or innovation, but by how we bring the people, technology and resources already available to us together in new ways," said Dr. Berchuck. "I'm excited to work with Remission Medical as the company builds new approaches to expanding specialty care capacity and helping health systems serve more patients."
As a Strategic Advisor, Dr. Berchuck will provide strategic perspective and counsel in healthcare innovation, enterprise strategy and scalable business models as Remission Medical continues to strengthen its health system partnerships and expand access to rheumatology care.
