Bremer Avenue Bridge Work

The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) announced today that construction crews will begin finish work on the Bremer Avenue Bridge this week. The project is expected to take around a month, depending on weather conditions and construction progress.
To safely accommodate the work, one lane of the bridge will be closed at a time throughout the duration of the project. Access for eastbound and westbound traffic will remain open, with vehicles utilizing the remaining portion of the road to maintain traffic flow. Bridge sidewalks will be closed while work is being completed.

Drivers should anticipate potential delays during peak travel hours, and short-term traffic pattern shifts as crews transition between lanes. Plan accordingly, allow extra travel time and use caution when traveling through work zones.
