TRAFFIC ALERT - Sussex County - Beach Highway Nighttime Lane Closures
The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces an overnight maintenance paving operation on Rt 16 Beach Highway from Rt 1 to US Rt 113with lane closures between the hours of 6:00 pm to 6:00 am.
To expedite the schedule, we will be expanding the work hours to 24 hours per day minus the 6:00 am to 8:00 am morning commute period beginning tomorrow, Thursday, October 2nd through Friday, October 10th. The lane closures should be limited to the area west of the Rt 30, Gravel Hill Road/Rt 16 Beach Highway intersection.
This work is weather dependent. Motorists should use caution and expect minor delays in the area. For more information visit the DelDOT website at www.deldot.gov, download the DelDOT app or tune to 1380 am, WTMC.
