LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following statement urging the City Council to vote on ULA Reform:
"The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce is encouraged by the meaningful steps the Los Angeles City Council took yesterday toward reforming Measure ULA. The motions introduced reflect the kind of common-sense, targeted changes the Chamber and its partners have been urging for months. These reforms would preserve what voters intended when they passed ULA while removing the structural barriers that have suppressed housing production and dampened economic activity across the City.
The Chamber urges the full Council to see this process through and ensure that a meaningful reform measure reaches voters on the November 2026 ballot. Los Angeles cannot afford further delay. Every month without reform is another month of stalled construction, lost jobs, and housing that does not get built."
