Presented by UD's Division of Fine and Performing Arts and The Julien Winds, the concert will include selections such as "Nessun Dorma" by Giacomo Puccini (arranged by James Barnes), "in evening's stillness..." by Joseph Schwantner, "Catalyst" by Harrison Collins, and more. The bands will come together as an ensemble to perform "Journey Through Orion" by Julie Giroux.

The concert will be conducted by Nolan Hauta, DMA, director of concert bands and associate professor of instrumental music at UD, and Rob Stull, DMA, artistic director of The Julien Winds.

"It is exciting to collaborate with the student musicians of the UD Concert Band. Without a new generation of wind players, professional groups such as the Julien Winds would cease to exist. It is wonderful to share in a music program highlighting the power of wind ensemble repertoire," Stull said.

The Julien Winds is a professional level adult wind band comprised of leading musicians in the tri-state area. It was originally founded in 2014 as the Julien Chamber Winds by Nicholas Bratcher, EdD, who served UD from 2013 to 2017 as an assistant professor of music before advancing to associate professor of music. He also served as the university's director of instrumental music.

A Collaboration Concert is free and open to the public. No ticket is required.
