Two New Editing Residents

Katie joins The Times after working as an editor at Investopedia, where she published financial explainers. She previously reported on national news and education as a staff writer for Time magazine. Katie enjoys reading; traveling; cheering on her alma mater, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; and playing in a shuffleboard league.

Now in its fourth year, the Editing Residency is a first-of-its-kind newsroom program run by Alexa Mills, an assistant editor on the Career Programs team. Wendy Lu, a deputy editor on the Flexible Editing desk, oversees their training.

Michelle and Katie will start on Nov. 3. Please join us in welcoming them to The Times. Two more residents in the cohort will be announced at a later date.
