Preliminary Ballot Count for May 2026 Resident Commissioner Election

Effective in 2026, the nine-member DC Housing Authority (DCHA) Board of Commissioners will include two Resident Commissioners, who are elected by DCHA public housing residents.

Polls were open May 21 and May 22 for public housing residents to vote for one of the four candidates running for Resident Commissioner. Their votes determine which candidate will serve in one of the two Resident Commissioner seats.

The preliminary ballot count for the May 2026 Resident Commissioner Election is:

Rhonda Hamilton: 94
Julz (Julemi) White: 55
Misha Pettway: 48
Janet Parker: 38
