New Director of Video Talent

Corinne Chin has joined Culture and Careers as our director of video talent. She will be working closely with our colleagues on the video team and visual leadership as we continue the ambitious expansion of our video journalism. Corinne will help recruit video journalists into new roles and help develop our current staff as we scale our video journalism.

Corinne comes to us from The Associated Press, where she was based in her hometown of Chicago. As director of news talent for recruitment, she oversaw The A.P.'s conference strategy and ran the same internship program that launched her journalism career in Nairobi.

She is also a national Emmy Award-winning video journalist. Before joining The A.P., she was a senior video journalist at The Seattle Times focused on in-depth digital video projects, and she previously worked as a senior video producer for CNN .

Corinne is a past president of the Asian American Journalists Association's Seattle chapter, and is also a co-director of AAJA's affinity group Women and Non-Binary Voices. Before entering journalism, she got her professional start at 17 serving deep dish pizza in her hometown.

Please join us in welcoming her.
