NEW YORK, NY - May 6, 2026 - NewsNation today announced American Made, a special multi-platform series of stories that will air on ELIZABETH VARGAS REPORTS, designed to honor the companies, brands, and corporate executives that define the entrepreneurial spirit of America, in celebration of the country's 250th birthday. Launching this spring, American Made will offer viewers an inside look at how these businesses and individuals are shaping the American economy, with exclusive, behind the scenes access, in-depth interviews, and immersive storytelling.
The series will feature such iconic brands as Ford Motor Company, Whirlpool Corporation, and The Campbell's Company-companies that have shaped everyday experiences while driving job creation and investing in their communities. The series also highlights businesses that embody patriotism and service, including flag manufacturers and maritime companies that play a vital role in supporting American industries and veterans. From Ford's multigenerational manufacturing legacy to Whirlpool's focus on supporting families nationwide, American Made underscores how these companies lead with purpose.
"American Made reflects Nexstar's commitment to showcasing the brands and businesses that have helped define American ingenuity for generations," said Sean Compton, President of Networks for Nexstar Media Group. "As we approach the nation's 250th anniversary, these stories highlight companies that are innovative and resilient while also strengthening communities, supporting workers and contributing to the fabric of this country."
Highlights of the series include an exclusive interview with Alexandra Ford English, a fifth-generation member of the Ford family and member of Ford's Board of Directors who will offer a rare multigenerational perspective on one of America's most iconic brands. The series will culminate in a one-hour NewsNation documentary this summer, American Made, which will weave together the most compelling stories into a broader narrative of American ambition and resilience in business.
Produced as part of NewsNation's America 250 initiative, American Made stories will air bi-weekly on Fridays this spring and then weekly across ELIZABETH VARGAS REPORTS (7pm ET/6c). The series and documentary will also be available on the NewsNationNow website and on the connected TV apps of Nexstar's local television stations across the country.
