Merry Main Street is a great way to celebrate the holiday season and it continues in downtown Mesa through Saturday, Jan. 10.

The Winter Wonderland Ice Rink will offer expanded hours during the holidays at the Plaza at Mesa City Center, 56 E. Main St. The ice rink will be open daily from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. through Jan. 4 to give people more opportunities to skate while they are on vacation or winter break from school. The ice rink will be open Dec. 24 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will be closed Dec. 25. Tickets must be purchased online at merrymainst.com/icerink.

Holiday movies continue on Friday nights at the Plaza at Mesa City Center, 56 E. Main St., with Elf on Dec. 26, Beauty and the Beast on Jan. 2 and Frozen on Jan. 9 on the large screen on the side of the ASU MIX Center. You can watch these holiday classics while skating or by sitting under the stars on the lawn. All movies are closed-captioned for people who are hard of hearing:

Jack Frost's Food Truck Forest continues on Saturdays at Pioneer Park from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The Mesa Temple Christmas Lights will shine brightly each night through Dec. 30. Bingles, our Gnome on the Roam, will continue roaming downtown Mesa, stopping at businesses and attractions to spread holiday cheer. Follow @CityofMesa on Facebook to keep up with the whereabouts of the adorable North Pole ambassador.

While in downtown Mesa, check out Mesa's Christmas Tree on Macdonald, north of Main, which is nearly four stories tall. You can also visit more than 40 restaurants, coffee shops and bars and more than 60 eclectic stores and businesses.
