Head of the Chinese Mission to the African Union Ambassador Jiang Feng Pays a Courtesy Call on Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security of the AU Commission

On 4th July, H.E. Jiang Feng, the new Head of Chinese Mission to the AU, paid a courtesy call to H.E. Bankole Adeoye, Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security of the AU Commission, in the presence of Minister Zhang Wei, Senior Colonel Guo Baojian, Director of Conflict Management Dr. Alhaji Sarjoh Bah, etc.

Amb. Jiang pointed out that peace and security are the cornerstone of development. China firmly supports the peace and security cause of the African Union. Taking the building of a China-Africa community with a shared future as the guide, and the implementation of the "Ten Partnership Actions" and the Global Security Initiatives as an opportunity, China will closely connect with the African Union's "Silencing the Guns" initiatives, strengthen close cooperation in various fields such as politics, peace and security.

Mr. Adeoye welcomed Amb. Jiang to his new post, and highly appreciated China's extraordinary achievements. He thanked China for its long-term selfless assistance to the peace and security cause of the AU, and expressed his willingness to strengthen communication and exchanges with Amb. Jiang on cooperation in the fields of Africa-China peace and security.
