Brandy Lewis was recently appointed to the position of Development Review Manager, overseeing floodplain management, an increasing critical focus for coastal communities like Key West. She works with the Planning, Building, and Engineering departments to ensure development meets federal, state, and local regulations, especially those addressing flood resilience and risk mitigation.
With a background in property insurance, Brandy brings growing expertise in floodplain management. She is known for her organizational skills, communication, and leadership. She plays a key role in helping the City meet both immediate needs and long-term strategic goals where development, compliance, and climate resilience intersect.
Brandy joined the City in February 2023 as Executive Administrator to the City Manager and later served as Executive Administrator of Special Projects, where she advanced key initiatives to strengthen City operations and interdepartmental coordination. She has extensive experience managing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder coordination across departments.
