"These announcements mark milestones for some and, together, reflect our commitment to the long-term growth of our business and our people as we focus on continuous innovation and collaboration to best serve our Tyler clients and team members," said Lynn Moore, president and CEO.
Chief Marketing Officer Samantha Crosby has announced her intention to retire in June 2025. Crosby joined Tyler in 2008 and soon after developed and launched Tyler's unified brand strategy, building the foundation for the strong brand that has become the true hallmark of Tyler today. In addition, she established foundational disciplines across marketing and communications, focused on strengthening awareness, driving go-to-market strategies, generating leads, and protecting the Tyler brand. She played an instrumental role in Tyler's growth over the past 15 years. Crosby will transition to senior marketing advisor until her retirement in June.
Arik Flanders has been promoted to chief marketing officer. Flanders joined Tyler in October 2023 as vice president of Marketing Shared Services, where he quickly added value to Tyler's digital marketing operations, technology and data practices, and demand generation. Before joining Tyler, Flanders spent 14 years in progressively responsible global management roles with Texas Instruments, including serving as director of Digital Marketing Operations and director of Brand Marketing, Digital Media & Advertising, Analytics, and eCommerce.
Abby Diaz, Tyler's current chief legal officer, has been elevated to the newly created position of chief administrative officer. In this expanded role, Diaz will continue to oversee Tyler's legal team and adds responsibility for Internal Audit, Data Privacy, Corporate Governance and Responsibility, as well as Corporate Communications. This transition strengthens alignment across these critical functions, supporting Tyler's long-term growth and enabling an integrated approach to governance, compliance, and communications. Diaz will remain as Tyler's corporate secretary.
Bill Van Asselt has been promoted to chief legal officer and assumes direct leadership of the legal team. Van Asselt joined Tyler through the acquisition of NIC, Inc., in 2021, where he worked for nearly 11 years, serving as NIC's general counsel for five years. Prior to NIC, he practiced law at Lathrop & Gage LLP in Kansas City, Missouri. Since joining Tyler, Van Asselt has served as deputy chief legal officer.
