UHart is Part of Renewed Greater Hartford Consortium for Higher Education

Schools within the Consortium offer a cross-registration program, allowing students to cross-register for certain courses outside their home institutions.

But the revamped Consortium is reaching beyond that. In the past few years, Consortium members have been refocusing the group on promoting new opportunities for students, workers, and current and prospective employers, fostering deeper collaboration, stronger employer partnerships, and an amplified role for higher education in shaping Hartford's growth.

It's a focus that dovetails with UHart President Lawrence P. Ward's emphasis on UHart's leadership role within the Greater Hartford community. In the past year, the University has forged stronger ties with industry, government, and not-for-profit organizations in the Greater Hartford area.

The closer collaboration with other institutions of higher education is part and parcel of that effort. The Consortium aims to strengthen pathways from education to employment and ensure that Hartford companies are closely connected to the region's talent pipeline.

In addition to the University of Hartford, the Consortium includes:

  • UConn Hartford
  • CT State Capital and CT State Manchester (Connecticut State Community College)
  • Goodwin University
  • Hartford International University for Religion and Peace
  • Trinity College
  • University of Saint Joseph

Consortium cross-registration begins on May 1 for the fall semester. For more information, click below.
