Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas Yan Jiarong Meets with Latia Duncombe, Director General of The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation
On 16 October 2025, Her Excellency Yan Jiarong, Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas, met with Mrs. Latia Duncombe，Director General of The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation.
Mrs. Duncombe introduced the development history and future plans of tourism as the most important pillar industry of The Bahamas, while Yan shared China's experience in tourism development. The two sides held in-depth exchanges on promoting cooperation of tourism industry, market expansion and capacity building between the two countries.
They also recalled their joint participation in the events held by Bahamian woman organizations. Ambassador Yan briefed the guests on the main outcomes of the Global Women's Summit which was recently concluded in Beijing.
