WASHINGTON - California Man, Gurinder Gill, 28, recently accused ICE of taking his wife, Jasmine Gill, 30 when she went out to get the mail. The claim is categorically FALSE. Just days after Mr. Gill reported Jasmine Gill missing, he was charged with the murder of his wife.
"Once again, ICE is facing baseless slanders and attacks, designed to smear our agents," said Micah Bock, Assistant Director of Communications. "The reality is that the brave men and women of ICE go out every day to ensure criminal illegal aliens and murderers do not walk our streets freely, despite a massive increase in threats to their personal safety."
The Gills were going through a divorce and custody battle and Jasmine Gill was reported missing on October 4. She was last seen on Sept. 30.
Further investigation by the Sacramento County Sherrif's office found several inconsistencies with Mr. Gill's statements regarding the disappearance of his wife.
On Oct 1, remains that were burned, then buried, were discovered 70 miles from Gill's residence. Those remains were positively identified as Jasmine Gill.
On October 14, Sherrif Deputies executed a warrant and arrested Mr. Gill. He is currently being held without bail.
"ICE will continue to execute our congressionally mandated duties and deliver on President Trump's promise to make America safe again," Bock added.
