MYOB rolls out suite of AI products to power up SME productivity

Leading business management solutions provider MYOB is rolling out an ecosystem of impact-led AI agents and AI-powered features in its product portfolio, designed to produce incremental time savings by taking the effort out of SME compliance and cashflow.

Expertly integrated within everyday workflows, the market-first AI helps SMEs and their advisors level up by predicting customer behaviour, providing real time cashflow insight and supporting in seamless compliance prep from day one of every quarter.

AI BAS

To support approximately 2.61 million GST-registered small businesses, MYOB's AI BAS solution is Australia's first agentic BAS offering, acting as a powerful partner for sole traders, SMEs, accountants and bookkeepers in the preparation of the quarterly BAS lodgment.

Initially available to sole traders, MYOB AI BAS makes suggestions on BAS treatments for transactions and flags anomalies for small businesses and their advisors to review and resolve.

AI BAS then produces a pre-populated report with BAS lodgment totals for the accountant or bookkeeper's review.

AI Business Insights

Designed to equip businesses with advanced intelligence, MYOB's AI Business Insights feature will provide interactive charts and commentary that allow businesses to identify patterns and establish areas which need attention. The feature plainly tells the story behind the numbers, providing easy to digest explanations for businesses to convert into growth.

Accountants and bookkeepers are given added advantage through the surfacing of meaningful trends and performance drivers for clients, enabling richer advisor-led conversations.

Smart Reconciliation

MYOB's Smart Reconciliation AI feature matches bank feed transactions to categories automatically and auto-reconciles for the user based on their chosen schedule. This enables a real time understanding of expenditure and cashflow position while eliminating unnecessarily time-consuming administrative tasks. AI machine learning will learn from user behaviour to determine the correct category.

Advisors are handed cleaner files to review and submit, meaning they are always compliance ready.

Smart Invoice Reminders

MYOB's Smart Invoice Reminders prepares suggested actions based on late payer behaviour to enable smarter cashflow control. The feature provides tone suggestions for communications and customisable scheduling of automatic reminders, saving the business owner time and effort while allowing advisors to confidently provide a clearer view of a client's cashflow.

Late payments are a consistent pain point for SMEs, with 18% of respondents stating they are a cause of extreme pressure in the November 2025 edition of MYOB's Bi-Annual Business Monitor.

Paul said the launch of new AI enhancements demonstrated MYOB's focus on shaping the future of work, empowering businesses to operate with greater intelligence, speed and confidence.
