Two Push-Button Pedestrian Crossings on Hakunilantie from 3 August

Changes will be made in Hakunila at the beginning of August to improve pedestrians' ability to cross the road safely.
As part of the traffic arrangements related to the construction of the Vantaa Light Rail, two new push-button pedestrian traffic signals will be introduced in Hakunila on Monday, 3 August 2026.
The traffic signals will be located at pedestrian crossings on Hakunilantie between Raudikkopolku and Hiirakkokuja, and between Hiirakkokuja and Hepokuja.
The aim of the change is to improve the safety of schoolchildren and other pedestrians moving around the area. The new traffic signals may cause some delays to vehicle traffic on Hakunilantie.
The approximate locations of the new push-button traffic signals are marked on the map below.
