DALLAS - T he community is invited to join Dallas ISD Board of Trustee members for informational sessions on the proposed 2026 Bond. Each session will outline the district's long-term vision for campus and facility improvements, an essential investment supporting the future of Dallas ISD students.The meetings will take place at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 9 at three campuses:
District 3: Bayles Elementary School, hosted by Trustee Dan Micciche
District 9: Lincoln High School and Humanities/Communications Magnet, hosted by Trustee Ed Turner
District 8: North Dallas High School, hosted by Board President Joe Carreon

Hillcrest welcomes Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman
Hillcrest High School is excited to host two-time Basketball Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman for the Dreaming, Building, Achieving Mentorship Program at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10. Joined by Dr. Jamie Gonzalez, owner and founder of Eye Pieces, a local eye care center, Lieberman will share inspiring lessons on overcoming challenges, setting goals, and the importance of dreaming big. This program aims to empower students by providing essential tools, skills, and motivation to excel in academics, careers, and leadership roles.
Pinkston alumna earns national counselor honor
Dr. L.G. Pinkston Sr. High School alumna and longtime Dallas ISD counselor, Kyria Hart, is earning national recognition for her work supporting student success. Hart was recently selected for the National School Counselor Fellows Program, where she is working alongside educators across the country to expand college and career opportunities for all students. Her career reflects a deep commitment to advocating for student-centered support, and a commitment to helping students realize their potential.

Dallas ISD fall commencement
Dallas ISD will hold its Fall Commencement ceremony at 7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 10 at Alfred J. Loos Field House. Families, staff, and community members are invited to celebrate the achievements of graduating students as they mark this major milestone.
