Motion of censure against the European Commission

At noon, MEPs will vote, by roll call, on a motion of censure against the Commission. For the motion to be adopted, a two-thirds majority of the votes cast, representing a majority of component Members of Parliament, is needed. The plenary debate with Commission President Ursula von der Leyen took place on Monday.

Common agricultural policy after 2027

In a debate starting at 9:00, MEPs will discuss their proposals for the future of the EU's common agriculture policy (CAP) with Commissioner Christophe Hansen. The European Commission is expected to announce its 2028-2034 common agriculture policy (CAP) proposal in mid-July.

In brief

Chinese critical raw material export restrictions. Following a debate held on Tuesday, plenary will vote at noon on how to tackle China's export restrictions on critical raw materials.

European citizens' initiative. Before the midday votes, MEPs will debate a European citizens' initiative on cohesion policy for the equality of regions and sustainability of regional cultures.

Endometriosis. Starting at 15:00, plenary will debate the gender health gap in general and endometriosis in particular, with Equality Commissioner Hadja Lahbib.

Votes

At noon, MEPs will also vote on:

  • draft resolutions on the case of Ryan Cornelius in Dubai, the arbitrary arrest and torture of Belgian-Portuguese researcher Joseph Figueira Martin in the Central African Republic, and the urgent need to protect religious minorities in Syria;
  • the future of the EU biotechnology and biomanufacturing sector; and
  • battery due diligence policies.
