PORTALES, N.M. - Get ready to show your Ram and Hound spirit! Eastern New Mexico University-Portales is thrilled to announce that News Channel 10 (KFDA-TV, Amarillo) is bringing its popular Summer Celebration Event right to the front door of the Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU)-Portales campus.
On Monday, July 20, the Portales and surrounding communities are invited to gather in front of the brand-new Student Support Services (SSS) building for a fun-filled, family-friendly evening of live television broadcasts, local food, games, and entertainment. The full event runs from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. MDT, with public access kicking off at 3:30 p.m. MDT.
This is our moment to shine! News Channel 10 will be capturing the true spirit of our region, showcasing the incredible things happening in Portales and our neighboring communities. Attendees will have the unique chance to meet their favorite news anchors and station staff, step into the spotlight, and be featured live in the background of multiple television broadcasts throughout the evening.

Food, Vendors, and Free Swag!
Come hungry and ready to shop! The event will feature up to 30 local Portales businesses and vendors, as well as food trucks to keep attendees energized throughout the evening.
Plus, News Channel 10 is bringing the ultimate summer swag: 100 T-shirts will be given away! Community members from Portales, neighboring towns, and beyond are encouraged to show up early and stay for the fun. All broadcast content and extra footage will be posted on NewsChannel 10's digital platforms after the show.
Event Parking Information:
Free public parking is available at the Jack Williamson Liberal Arts Building and the University Computer Center lots. Special guests will have designated parking located near the event.
