Congressman Flood Announces Flyover Fintech Panel on Consumer Payment Tech

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA - U.S. Congressman Mike Flood announced today that Flyover Fintech will feature a panel on consumer payment technology, bringing together industry leaders from Cash App, Zelle, and Amazon to discuss the future of digital payments and what it means for consumers. The panel will take place at Flyover Fintech in Lincoln, Nebraska on August 4, 2026.

"New consumer payment technologies are changing how Americans save, spend, and move their money, and that shift is raising real questions for consumers and regulators alike," said Congressman Mike Flood. "I'm looking forward to hosting voices from across the payments industry to discuss where this technology is headed and what safeguards should come with it. Michael Duane is Head of Banking Product at Cash App, where he leads product development for Cash App's banking offerings, including Cash App Card, the fourth largest debit card program in the United States. Michael is responsible for driving innovation and growth for products used by more than 25 million customers, with a focus on making everyday financial services simpler and more accessible. He has spent seven years at Cash App building its card and banking products from the ground up. Michael earned his BA in Economics from Dartmouth College.

Ryan Riveland leads partnership and market development efforts for the Zelle Network® and Certos® at Early Warning. Ryan collaborates with financial institutions, market leaders and tech partners to influence and deliver new solutions to the payments and risk space. Shortly after joining Early Warning in 2015, Ryan became a central contributor in the launch of the Zelle Network and he continues to drive new use-case expansion across products at Early Warning. He is a member of USFPC, an active supporter of industry associations and has over 25 years of experience in the financial industry across various disciplines including payments, fraud, analytics, digital wallets and card issuing.

Brendan Woodbury leads Amazon's Payments Policy work in the U.S. Before Amazon, he worked on Capitol Hill for over a decade, including serving as committee staff on the Dodd-Frank Act and as Chief of Staff to Former Rep. Denny Heck.

Flyover Fintech conferences feature a wide variety of speakers, ranging from members of the House Financial Services Committee to leading voices in the fintech industry.
