The Chicago Park District Presents the 15th Annual Second City Showdown Wheelchair Basketball Tournament

The 2025 Competition returns to Broadway Armory and Features Sixteen Teams Competing to be Crwoned Champion of the Midwest

The Chicago Park District is hosting Second City Showdown, a wheelchair basketball competition, featuring sixteen teams facing off in a bracket-style tournament at Broadway Armory, 5917 N. Broadway, on November 16 and November 17. The games begin at 9:00 a.m. on both days.

Park patrons are invited to attend two days of intense competition featuring male and female wheelchair basketball teams from five different states in the Midwest, including the Chicago Park Districts Skyhawks. Admission is free for all spectators.

Second City Showdown returns for the 15th year as one of the largest wheelchair basketball tournaments in the region, having teams from multiple midwestern states coming together to compete. This National Wheelchair Basketball Association sanctioned event will have athletes squaring off for the chance to be crowned champion. The first day features multiple matchups in order to determine the playoff seeding for the second day of games.
