Minister Tajani opens the conference to present the Symbola Report “Italy in 10 Selfies” at the Foreign Ministry

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Antonio Tajani, opens the conference at the Foreign Ministry to present the Symbola Foundation's Report "Italy in 10 Selfies", an annual publication that illustrates some of the strengths of our Country System.

This year's Report highlights some "firsts": Italy is the first G7 country for sustainable steel production; first in the world for export growth in the pharmaceutical sector; and first in Europe for special and urban waste recycling rate. The Report shows that Italy can also boast outstanding results in terms of culture and creativity, sectors that together generate a value-added of almost EUR 300 billion per year, with a 5.5% annual increase.

Again in 2024 Italian exports recorded significant results despite a complex international situation. Through an articulate strategy of growth diplomacy, carried out by the more than 300 offices abroad, in synergy with the various branches of the Country System, the Foreign Ministry is committed to enhancing Italian excellence and supporting exports.

This year the Symbola Report, drafted in collaboration with Unioncamere and Assocamerestero, and sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, and the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, focuses on circular economy, renewables, green steel, sustainable agriculture, rides and amusement parks, furniture, conference tourism, pasta production, pharmaceuticals, UNESCO heritage and design.

The President of Symbola, Ermete Realacci, and the President of Assocamerestero, Mario Pozza, will also speak at the event.
