Tisza is nothing more than a Brussels project, their programme is Brussels' programme, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán wrote on his Facebook account on Wednesday.

Mr Orbán wrote: the moment when "Herr Weber" took the "the Tisza reins" with the assistance of a few hundred Members of the European Parliament was shocking and shameful.

He added: it was shameful because nothing is too much for the Brusselites anymore, they are prepared to cover for anyone if it helps to divert Hungary off its own path; it can be theft, insider training or bodily harm, they launder everything.

And it was shocking because it is unprecedented in Hungary's modern-day history that the fate of an opposition leader is in the hands of foreign Members of Parliament. This has been the case since yesterday, the Prime Minister wrote. "Tisza is nothing more than a Brussels project. Their programme is Brussels' programme. And we know that only too well: migration, tax increases, providing Ukraine with money and weapons. It's best to stay out of this," Mr Orbán wrote in his post.
