Secretary of State branch offices to open at 10 a.m. on Thursdays for staff training and development
LANSING, Mich. - Secretary of State branch offices will open at 10 a.m. EST on Thursdays starting Nov. 5 to allow staff to participate in weekly training and professional development.
Branch offices will remain open until 5 p.m. on Thursdays. Regular hours on the other weekdays will not change with most offices open Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Some offices in less populated areas do not offer Thursday hours and will not be impacted. Those include:
- Alger County: 418 Mill St. in Munising
- Keweenaw County: 3616 US-41 in Mohawk (moving to Tuesday hours)
- Osceola County: 21719 Howard St. in Reed City
- Oscoda County: 302 N. Morenci Ave. in Mio
Some branch offices in the Upper Peninsula are in the central time zone. Residents are encouraged to check their local branch office's hours before planning their visit. Most transactions can be completed online at mi.gov/sos
