Washington, D.C. - Today, House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries released the following statement:

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the path of the horrific wildfires in Los Angeles County. House Democrats stand ready to support the response effort in any way possible. We are grateful to the firefighters and first responders who are putting themselves in danger while working to save lives and communities under extremely difficult conditions. It's important for the people of Southern California to stay vigilant and listen to guidance from emergency management officials. May God watch over Los Angeles and everyone in harm's way.
