Officers from the East Precinct have arrested a suspected street-level fentanyl dealer following an investigation prompted by community complaints about a bottle recycling center in the area of Northeast 122nd Avenue and Northeast Glisan Street.

Community members have reported a pattern of brief interactions between a suspect in a vehicle and individuals approaching the car - activity consistent with drug sales. Officers launched an investigation and confirmed the suspect was distributing fentanyl in small foil packets, commonly referred to as "crumb-sized" quantities. These packets, often marked with pricing, are typically used immediately by buyers to smoke the drug. Testing confirmed the presence of fentanyl.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident. During the arrest, officers recovered a loaded firearm and additional weapons, all seized as evidence. The investigation remains ongoing, and the suspect's identity is not being released at this time.

Seized Items:

Loaded firearm and additional weapons

Seized items

$523 in cash

Approximately 25 grams of fentanyl (including 14 foil packets packaged for sale)

Approximately 2 grams of methamphetamine

This enforcement action was conducted by East Precinct patrol officers in collaboration with the Neighborhood Response Team (NRT) and included participation from officers in training. The operation is part of ongoing efforts to address open-air drug activity impacting the community.

East Precinct personnel emphasize their continued focus on targeting individuals who distribute fentanyl and other dangerous narcotics. Community members are encouraged to report suspicious activity as public cooperation remains essential in addressing neighborhood safety concerns.
