New Parking Events Committee to Help Support Campus Events

Supporting meaningful campus engagement remains a priority at The University of Toledo. To further that commitment, the President's Office and ParkUToledo have partnered with University stakeholders to launch the new Parking Events Committee, which will review requests for parking funding assistance for qualifying campus events.

The committee includes representatives from students, faculty and staff and will oversee a dedicated parking funding program designed to support qualifying campus events.

How to Request Parking Funding Assistance

Departments and organizations should continue submitting event parking requests through the ParkUToledo Special Event Parking Request Form.

Not sure which parking option is right for your event? Before submitting a request, event organizers are encouraged to contact the ParkUToledo Events team at [email protected]. The team is happy to discuss your event, recommend the parking solution that best fits your needs and answer any questions before you submit your request.

When completing the form, simply select "Yes" when asked if you would like to request parking funding assistance. Additional questions will automatically appear to gather information needed for the committee's review, event type, funding request and budget details.

Once submitted, ParkUToledo will prepare the parking plan and estimated costs before forwarding the request to the Parking Events Committee for review. To allow adequate time for committee review, requests for funding assistance must be submitted at least five weeks before the event.

Funding requests will be evaluated based on factors such as alignment with the University's mission, event purpose, anticipated impact and the committee's established review criteria. The committee looks forward to partnering with departments and organizations to help make meaningful campus events even more accessible to the UToledo community.
