Chinese Ambassador to Iran Cong Peiwu Meets with H.E. Mr. Mehdi Shoushtari, Assistant to the Iranian Foreign Minister and DG for West Asia and North Africa Affairs
On October 13, Chinese Ambassador to Iran Cong Peiwu met with H.E. Mr. Mehdi Shoushtari, Assistant to the Iranian foreign minister and DG for West Asia and North Africa affairs, exchanged views on the current regional situation.
Ambassador Cong introduced China's three-point appeal for the first-phase agreement on the Gaza conflict, and expressed that China is willing to continue to work with the international community to make unremitting efforts to achieve lasting peace and tranquility in the Middle East. H.E. Mr. Mehdi Shoushtari appreciated China's position and said that the regional situation is complex and changing, and Iran is willing to strengthen coordination with China in this regard.
